List of Tasks

Here's a preliminary list. These are not set in stone. If anyone has a new idea, please share it with the rest of us.

DEVELOPMENT TEAM:
Make sure you enabled all the modules I listed in a previous email.

Before we look at the actual site, make a sample website in your
localhost with a new theme and some Pages.

Install one custom theme from online. I am using Zen Classic, which we
might be using as a basis for our actual theme:

For content, just copy and paste any article, most web developers use
paragraphs from this text: http://spot.colorado.edu/~hday/lorem.html

After that, specific tasks in actual site:
-decide on and modify theme
-refugee database
-contact form
-donation
-newsletter mailing list
-online forms for volunteers, computer donation pickups, etc.
-front page in flash

CONTENT TEAM:
Establish communication with PR.

Specific website content:
-About info
-Contact info
-Volunteer options, forms, projects
-legal articles (Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, etc)
-projects and descriptions
-events
-newsletters/press releases
-edited pictures for banner, articles, etc
-FAQ
-Bios/pics about prominent Sewa Houston volunteers

Additional tasks:
- html newsletter template
- computer classes, cooperate with workforce dev. team
- start Sewa in important social networking sites (e.g. Twitter)
